Diane's Story

"I have struggled with my weight my entire life.  Like many, I have been on diet after diet, and joined gym after gym only to have short-lived success.  My "ah-ha" moment was when I turned 60 years old.  It was then, weighing 225 lbs. and being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, that I finally put myself first and began my journey toward a healthier lifestyle.   It felt different this time because I was doing it for ME!  Having the right mind-set to tackle such a big lifestyle change was one of the keys to my success.  You just have to make yourself a priority.

Changing my eating habits was the first thing to tackle.  I did not deprive myself of the foods I love, but I began to only eat 1/2 of my prior portions.  However, I did have to give up fast food and milkshakes.  After losing my first 12 lbs, I decided to invest in myself and hire a personal trainer.  I knew from my past that I would not go to a gym having already wasted hundreds of dollars through the years joining gyms and never going.  Luxury Fitness was the answer and my solution.

My personal training sessions with my trainer kept me accountable to my exercise goals.  Plus, I was working with a professional who knew how to safely build my exercise program, and concentrate on the areas most important to me.  I am happy to share that I have lost 90 lbs. over the past two years and feel better than ever!  I have strength I never thought I could have, and I thank Luxury Fitness for the professionalism and my trainer for the consistency of the workouts. I could not have done it without the encouragement, education, and accountability my trainer provided.  Thank You Luxury Fitness!"
